Was looking at Classic Arms Auctions and notice a few P14's at very reasonable prices
I know that Oom Driepoot has a 7x64 based off one
Anyone else have / use / modified a P14 ( .303 ) or M17 (30-06)

ITA Instructors Course

Hi Folks, I recently qualified as Intermediate Level firearms instructor from ITA in Krugersdorp.

It is a two week course which includes
- Law
- Business Purposes qualification shoot
- Assessor Course
- Range Officer Course
- PFTC Qualification Shoot
- Ethics

The group consisted of roughly 12 participants. To my knowledge, two didn't pass completely and will be back later in the year.

The qualification shoots are quite a thing because one shoots against time with handgun, SLR, bolt action rifle and shotgun.

I'll try to put up descriptions of the different disciplines later on - got to get the kids to school now.

I am sure many - whoever has mounted a scope will know that the screw thread in the HOWA action is a..

#6-48 x 1/8” or an #8-40 UNC

My question .. seeing as we live in a metric World
Seeing as a #6-48 is 3.51 metric equivalent would it be a problem to drill and tap your receiver to an appropriate metric size - thread pitch ( M4) cap screw ?
Easy enough to find these at a good Bolt and Nut place

What say you
