Title: .308 - to the limit
Post by: Newton on Mar 25, 2024, 09:31 AM
Testing a Win .308 to beyond maximum pressure

Gavin Gear and Bruce Thom at Ultimate Reloader

.308 to the max

SEE ALL THE DISCLAIMERS

Confirms what I see in QL you get the best results at MAX pressure
ONE gr can make a huge difference

As far as the gun-smithing - what they said at the end - tight carefully reamed chambers with the correct dimensions.

As far as I am aware in the Ultimate Reloader video there was no illustration of what the cartridge looked like ? ( to gauge COAL ) I am sure it was a lot longer then normal = long throat chamber
Nor a chamber diagram showing the layout of the "special" chamber - cut by the special Alpha munitions chamber reamer.
I sent mail to ask .. but sadly no reply

Chamber throating is - arcana
