My son found some treasure on the farm about 6 years back, treasure back then was a bone, a button or even a old broken bottle. This particular piece of treasure was a very old potjie lid with some edges rusted away, but "its treasure Dad, maybe we can use it". So the treasure came home, was put in room, moved to garage, moved to by back door and the somewhere in garden as "art Daddy".

Well the lid was found the other day and I had a flash of genius, I am so proud of this revival of the old lid.

So now I am thinking, all those years back when my little boy was so small he found some treasure, a lid of a pot forgotten somehow in the veld many years ago. In many years time he can use this cooker and recall his Dad and the things they did together.
I am who I am - I am not who you want me to be.
Therefore I am me.

Well done Treeman, repurposing the lid and a nice memorable history behind it for you and your son. Something to talk about and good memories brought back when using it.

Oaf, I cannot explain how well it works and its so easy to clean compared to the big ones. The whole lid heats up because its small but like 6 chops no problem.
I was cleaning my flicker old photo's and only realize now that if I delete picture it gone for everyone.
I am who I am - I am not who you want me to be.
Therefore I am me.
