Title: Taurus model 66
Post by: ARK on Jun 02, 2022, 09:04 PM
Hi fellow gunners,

Need some advice, I went to my local trusted gun shop today and saw a Taurus model 66. 357 calibre revolver. I played with it a little and fell in love with it. The price is definitly very reasonable and that  also made me love it more... However... It is missing the back site. Any idea as to how much will cost or what's my options to getting one fitted? How much will it set me back?

First , make a few calls to different gunsmiths, and see if a part is available. Taurus is patterned pretty much on Smith and Wesson.

You can get the part directly from Brownells, as long as it's less than $100.

There are so many Taurus revolvers out there, if the part is a problem, just pass on it till you find another one.

Thank you very much, guess I will start the hunt for the site on Monday. Given the price of the gun if it's more that a few hundred bucks I will pass up on it until something better comes along
