The king is dead.
The Lee Precision Load Master has served the reloading community well for 30 years. Time has moved on and so the Load Master has been retired.

Long live the King!
To replace the long serving Load Master, Lee Precision has introduced the brand new Six Pack Pro.
A six station, super strong progressive reloading press.
Six Stations gives you more options.
Build using the same linkage and ram of the Classic Cast 50BMG press.
Simple indexing featuring a reliable and safe priming system.
This is a giant leap forward from Lee Precision.

Geees ! that looks - sounds pretty impressive. I hope Lee does not forget its "affordable for the general public" beginnings.
I am who I am - I am not who you want me to be.
Therefore I am me.

I felt a used Loadmaster in my future as soon as I saw this and verily one popped up on GS this morning as the owner was upgrading. Hope they drive the used prices of Loadmasters down a little as I love me a used bargain and my Pro 1000 is older than my eldest sibling.

Base Press - R7200.00
Shell Plate - R750.00
Kit - R10000.00

Now that sounds a bit expensive but the cheapest next option the Dillon RL550 at R16500.00 and that does not include dies etc.

Would that end up making it roughly hapf price all in?

In my opinion yes.
The Six Pack Pro is super strong. Uses the same linkage and ram from the 50bmg press. Carrier core is torqued on, you can not remove it.
Six stations solves the problem of having a powder check, inline bullet feeder and seating and crimping separately.
No removeable turrets, it is now a tool head that fits the breech lock bushings. So more play on the turret.
The press can be ordered in 6.5cm.
The priming system is something new to Lee and works without tweaking. Seats primers easy and perfect.

I can go on the whole day...this is the best press ever to come from Lee.

Damn, If I didn't know better I'd think you had in interest in building demand for them ;)

It is a hell of an appealing proposition, the rigidity and priming bits especially, but my short arms are struggling to reach deep enough into my pockets for a second hand Loadmaster so I guess I've got a way to go.
