Title: A spoon long lost , revived as treasure.
Post by: Treeman on Nov 26, 2023, 09:36 PM
My son found a old spoon on a hunt, the handle long since rusted away. Some day long ago someone sat where he was at present and fed his body, he then forgot to pack his spoon away.

Cody being Cody of course did the "look Dad treasure, look what I found"

A few years later I soldered a handle onto the spoon for him and did a browning of the metal to holt the rusts progress. The spoon is no work of art, but it's his, his and his alone - none like it.
The spoon is now Cody's hunting spoon.

The spoon is actually very smooth, even though the surface looks rough, it is smooth flowing undulations in finish.

Wot ??? - No one likes  the spoon ?
You boskoppe in the hunting world have the artistic refinement of dead warthogs.
A caveman would have loved to own that work of art.

As jy n ordentlike patroon daar vasgesoldeer het kon ek dalk probeer het maar n 270 gee sooibrand al is dit hamermeelpap wat ek moet eet   ;)

The true value of that spoon will come into play some time from now, when Cody tells his kids about Grandpa Treeman.
