The greenies should be called "Tomatoes".

They start out green, but as they mature they always turn red...

None of the noisy greeny/animal lovers I know spend any time whatever in nature beyond the occasional trip to larny lodges. Their conception of the natural world appears to be based largely on the works of the Walt Disney company.
