Post by: Rumple on Nov 01, 2024, 06:03 AM
Going to try using this camera as a powder checker on my progressive press...If anybody knows where I can get the stick on clips to secure it to the press please let me know.

Now that's a nifty idea. The clips you are likely going to have to think out the box - use a rod holder U-Push In Clip for screen. For tubes, try a medical supplier, the clips that hold the drips and things or a hydraulic place the clips that hold the thinner pipes.
I am not much bothered by appearance,so making clips from split pvc piping would be an option.

Yes I just use the first station to align the case👍

I got an android endoscope for R90 on Temu that plugs into an old phone for the purpose. Works lekker. Need to make a better mount and get another on for my second pro1000 so I don't have to move it between presses.

They have those for a bit more at takealot, but the reviews were not that great👍

Yes I just use the first station to align the case👍

If you have an old pistol caliber seating die, remove the seating stem, fix the camera through the top with prestick.

I'd suggest fixing the display next to the turret, at the level of the dies.

If you have to away from what's going on in progressive mode, you lose track of exactly what you're doing and it slows the whole process down.

Great idea, I have a spare seating die I can use👌

This one is great. It's got built in illumination and has a crisp image. Works more than well enough.

I got mine on take a lot i think, like R200, it works well and just fits into a .270 barrel. Its difficult to use as a borescope, but 1000 x better than no scope. It can also take photo's inside the bore.

Did it come with an angled mirror? The one I got did and that works better than I expected. Not snap on grade but good enough.

I found it a lot easier to lay rifle down and the using Prestik and a torch shine down bore from one end and scope from other. Then slowly change the torch angle till there is no direct light down barrel onto scope -only indirect light in bore. You will then see the bore very well ahead of the camera. The angled mirror was a pain indeed.
