Title: Roark ORIGIN 1-10×28 SFP MRAD ?
Post by: big5ifty on Nov 14, 2024, 05:33 PM
I'm in the process of re-confguring my 375 RUM from an ELR rifle to a hunting rifle.

The rifle was built without iron sights, and I want to keep it that way.

I want a scope on it that is 1x, max magnification should allow for shots to 600 meters.

I know there are many options, limited only to how deep your pockets are, but I have always been a sucker for trying something new.

This Origin 1-10 is new. The spec sheet on it says it is rated to 10000g, which I'm sure must be a typo, scopes are normally rated to 1000g,

Anyone have experience with that scope ?

I'm leaning towards buying it just to see if it breaks or not.

I searched for errors reported, questions raised in regard to the g rating and found  none mentioned ? Usually such an error is mentioned somewhere on some forum.

I confirmed with the supplier, it was a mis-print, it's 1000g rated.

I bought this understanding full well it may just end up an experimental sacrifice.

I've changed my 375 RUM to a hunting rifle configuration, this scope will go on that. If it holds up under recoil, it'll be a very good value 1x scope.
