That really is a beauty, seldom that I comment on a knife.

Oom Driepoot, please tell us more about the knife? Steel type, handle material, etc?

It looks like a modern damascus blade, but could be etched as well.

If we add a knife section, what message board descriptions are appropriate ?

For example :

Knives
 -- Hunting Knives
 -- Folding Knives
 -- Self Defence Knives

??

We don't have many knife discussions. I think a general knife board should be enough for a start.

Another possibility:
- General knife discussions
- Folding knives
- Fixed blade knives

I think that would more than cover it.

Thanks mate the steel is Stainless Ladder pattern Damascus with the core steel being 10Cr15CoMoV, a clone of the Japanese VG10 steel. Handle was made by Ian Allen in WA from resin he gets from America and pins are Mosaic pins It was etched, that photos probably isn't the best Photo and I don't have that knife any more  :onya:
Here's a couple of photos of another one much the same but different Damascus pattern also in stainless
