270 Win 130 gr cup and core Capstan bullet. Kudu, about 180 m first shot bit far back, exited out far side ribs.
Second shot bullet recovered entered behind shoulder and got stopped behind far shoulder. The second shot at about 60 m did not exit like the 180 m shot - once again showing how higher velocity does not mean deeper penetration.

The cup and core bullet separated with only pieces of the core being recovered.

I am who I am - I am not who you want me to be.
Therefore I am me.

When a shot on the shoulder of a warthog broke up like that, my reloading career started. I then started using mono bullets and still do to this day.

*************************mono ?
I do not find them better than deeper penetration, still a lot of blood shot meat.
I am who I am - I am not who you want me to be.
Therefore I am me.
