I just achieved a personal worst record for the duration of a new license app since the FCA came in at 123 working days. It sat at 'Received at licensing section" for 6 weeks or so and then went backwards and forwards between "Preparation for consideration" and "For consideration". Whatever happens at CFR it doesn't make an ounce of sense to me. A sample of some of the apparently random state changes below.

Received at licensing section:  2025-02-18
Preparation for consideration:   2025-04-01
For consideration:              2025-04-03
Preparation for consideration:   2025-04-11
Preparation for consideration:   2025-05-19
For consideration:              2025-05-26
Approved:                       2025-05-27

I am getting proofs of guys getting renewals in 3 days.
That is THREE DAYS.
I am who I am - I am not who you want me to be.
Therefore I am me.

That's weird as my most recent renewal, which came in late last year, was a few days short of a calendar year in the baking. Most of the others I know of from my clubs and other mates seem to be taking at least 6 months and some as long as 9.

My quickest ever license app was in '93, i.e. before the FCA came in and it was 21 calendar days from application to license in hand.

Ya ! A guy on the Co Op group posted the whole print out, date in date approved, the actual list, not a thing he printed. There were a few guys that replied with 4 - 5 weeks as their results.

I'm assuming that it's to do with the fact that renewals aren't done at CFR but rather at provincial so there's variation by province.
