A lot of good reloading information available from 3 a times national benchrest champion, Bruce Teel

and Brian Zonlnikov.

I laughed when I saw the target from Bruce's powder charge tests which are at 600 yards - his worst 600 yard dispersion is my better 100 meter shooting.

From Brian, you gain an understanding of what technicality really matters, and most importantly from both these knowledge sharers, how much it matters.

As reloaders, we understand the general concept that everything matters. What these two men show us is how much different things actually matter.

After watching a few of Bruce's videos, I realised that he video recorded all the steps that he took to help him arrive at national champion, and shared it with whoever is interested. This is unique amongst champion shooters.

Just don't question Brian on his conclusions. He tends to go full-retard in defense of his points.

There used to be a thread in Snipers Hide where he defended the use of population SD by Garmin and not sample SD as every single other chronograph ever made. It was great fun reading all the threats and insults thrown around.

Since then I look at his conclusions with a jaundiced eye.

I look at the result of Brian's testing, one example is the weighing of primers.

Of course, primer weight is not constant, so of course there is an effect caused by the variation in mass or primer compund. He can quantify the effect. What is clear to me from his testing is that in my rifles, with my shooting ability, I can't shoot the difference.

That goes for all the tests he's shared info on.

The powder tests that Bruce shared are the same. The way he tests, I can't shoot. I won't see a change to a one inch spread at 300 meters, because I can't hold to one inch at 300 meters.

All that is a good lesson on what matters, and how much. The how much some of the details matter is completely masked for me by my inability to shoot the difference.

If you can shoot the difference, and need to make the improvements, the information provided seems proven by them.

And as Bruce always says, don't believe what people tell you is going to work or not, test everything for yourself.

Provided you can shoot the difference.
