The hunting dog had puppies, I wanted one of her, and every farm we hunted on wanted one of her if we ever went the puppy route.
I really wanted this dog to live on through my last years and decided to allow her to breed.
This is the puppy we kept.

And so it starts, training the puppy to be a tracking dog.

Lots different in a male dog, lost this dog twice already. The female, never wondered, never escaped, the male puppy has gotten out away twice. The male somehow just manages to wonder off, even with me now paranoid attentive.

The female took to tracking like at 11 weeks, whining and pleading to track when we went out to practice, the male seems to try, but seems doffer !
I do not know if I recall Rats ability to optimistically, or if she was at same level same age - 14 weeks tomorrow.
