I have pair of Peltor Sportacs that are at least 10 years old. They work fantastically well and have been reliable and durable. One thing I have always wanted was a way to integrate to an audio source but being short armed and deep pocketed I couldn't stomach the ridiculous amount of money they wanted for the two pin mono to 3.5mm audio jack cable.

Somehow it didn't dawn on me till recently that I can simply pop in a pair of blue tooth earbuds under the earpro. It works fantastically well and yesterday I spent 5 hours at the range alone with Ian Kershaw's "Hitler" to keep me company. My third time through that book and it continues to amaze me with it's fresh insights.

Clever solution. The earmuffs with bluetooth audio input just have that built in.

Listening and shooting at the same time is multi-tasking. I can't multi-task.

It takes a while just for my brain to stop processing one input to be able to pay attention to the next.

I had considered adding a bluetooth module into the circuitry inboard of the two pin input and that was when the earbud idea dawned on me. Couln't justify the cost of a replacement set of quality active muffs just to get bluetooth support.

I has doing handgun drills most of sunday with just a little rifle work at the end. I find that when practising things that are handling and speed dependant like a SADPA or Steel Challenge stage having the audio in the background serves to make the shooting more 'automatic' and less deliberate which i think is helpful.

When I started shooting off the bench at the end i killed the book as I found it distracting while doing something much more deliberate.

Seeing as you mention it .. I would like to see a review by Mark Felton
Any other books on Hitler that you read ?
A very complex and fascinating character ( compare him to Stalin )

Great idea...I just need someone shouting "GRIP,GRIP,GRIP" in my ear when I'm running a stage and I would have alot more Alpha's ;D

A friend of mine does it when we train and its amazing how much difference it makes...
