JUST REPOSTING THIS, AS PEOPLE COME & GO.
Please consider joining, (I CAN ASSURE YOU THIS IS NOT A SPAM GROUP, OR A CHIT CHAT GROUP, OR FOR SALE, GEAR & EQUIPMENT ETC TYPE GROUP)

So, in short we have started a Telegram Group, well actually two to be specific the one is strictly an ALERT group only whereby if you "spot" something you simply post the link/s and contact details (email/s addresses), that's it, you're done.

Anyways, this Telegram Group just a little more advanced, in terms of we can upload files, links, pin messages, share ideas, etc. without spamming a Forum  or Facebook group or page, or having to worry about settings and Facebook biased etc...

The "vision" is just to grow this group and keep on "promoting" it as people will come and go, because life happens and obviously that will take priority over something like this.
So the aim is to constantly try and add more people. The short-term goal for now is just to get VOLUME of people involved, added to the group and have them actually participate in physically sending out responses (emails) to the Editors, publications, Journalists, media, newspapers etc and then obviously be spotters as well, by sharing links to the articles and contact details.

The vision of this group is fairly simple it is to get as many people (participants) as
possible actively involved by being more proactive, by "spotting" articles, inserts,
broadcasts and then most importantly acting on it, by sending out responses (emails) to that Editor,
publication, radio station, newspaper, Journalist, TV Program, Premier, politician, etc.

The group is not affiliated with any organisations, it's just ordinary random South African citizens trying to be more proactive, this is all voluntarily, we don't want to give the impression of being "organised".

Think about this group like a local CPF / Neighbourhood watch WhatsApp group, you see (spot) something, and you report it on this Telegram group, with a link to the specific article / broadcast etc you can also report it to the various other organisations like GOSA, SAGA, NATSHOOT, NARFO, FPC, FOSA, Safe Citizen.co.za, Firearms.co.za, Martin Hood, or whomever you choose to.

The truth is, even if we have 1000 participants in this Telegram group, it does not always mean that when something is shared (spotted) all 1000 participants will send out a reply (email) as "life" takes priority over this, which is obviously understandable.

SO AGAIN VOLUME IS IMPORTANT this group might be silent for weeks on end and it might be buzzing for days on end, participation is extremely important, that is exactly what this group is for as simple as that, sending out emails (responses) everytime an article is shared (spotted).

Do NOT feel intimidated by writing a response or feel your email isn't good enough. As a publication / Editor receiving 10 polished responses in your inbox is good, but receiving 100 ordinary responses is WAY MORE significant, again VOLUME and participation.

Lastly, this group was created from ALL the input from the private Facebook group People Against Gun-Free South Africa (PAGFSA) and also the Gun Site South Africa Forum "How to fight Gun Control" Thread, but because Facebook isn't a good platform for something like this and neither is the a Forum,  that's more due to software etc.

Thanks to everyone who has already joined and has contributed with this method of "fighting" and continue to do so.

Police Minister Senzo Mchunu says criminals who shoot at police will be met with the full might of the law. This comes after eight alleged cash-in-transit robbers were shot and killed by police and five other suspects were arrested in Khayelitsha on the Cape Flats on Monday.

I wonder why no-one is explaining that the weapons mentioned may not be legally owned by private persons - members of the public ?
It would appear education is lacking ?
