So we there again - hunting season as they call it, for me, its just winter, colder cooler and a bit better on the old body.
I can feel the tension in my mind waiting now for Cody to write last exam and then, every week end if I can find clients enough, into the bush it is. Those icy cold wake ups, open eyes and look around, we there, we on the farm.
This will be my first year doing all my own meat ( I hope, perhaps I chicken out), got all I need and just need to hunt now.
I looked today, got two Impala roast's left, dam good that, over stocked by 2 roasts from last hunts.

Below is my sentiments, who ever wrote this was likely another me.

I am who I am - I am not who you want me to be.
Therefore I am me.

Hunting is hard work. Point and basta.

We do it for more than the meat, simply because we can buy what we need from the supermarkets. It is also about the socialising, being there, doing something else and getting away from city life.

As one gets older, it gets harder even though one knows many hacks to make things easier.

On the other hand, one starts appreciating the younger folks' energy and anticipation, as well as their growing skills.

We learn to enjoy the outing, the small creatures and the sweetness of being in nature.
