Posting this a bit late, entries are already closed.

If you interested in this kind of shooting, it's a good opportunity to see what equipment people are using. Picture of 1130m gong.

1240m, 1400m and 1650m.

The 1240 gong was down for maintenance, just it's position is visible.

Those all look better than any bit of glass I have at 200m :o . This is a game I will leave to the braver and deeper of pocket than I!

Those pics were taken with a higher end spotting scope with a huge objective. Very few ELR shooters can afford those, and it's not a requirement.

I can spot my impact through the scope, and I use a [relatively] cheap Celestron 20x80 binocular for spotting other people, precisely because premium spotting scopes are out of my league. And with the one I have, I can see clearly at 2 miles.

A mate of mine who dabbles in this stuff has a setup for one rifle that I estimate to have more in it than both of my cars. Looks like great fun and the messing about shots I've taken with his rifles have flattered me horribly. I barely keep up with the cost of sport shooting and wing shooting though so I'll have to remain very much an interested observer.

Shoot format was 5 shots each at 1100, 1200 and 1400 for the qualifier. Had to impact to proceed to the next target within those 5 shots.

Knocked out of the qualifier at the 1400. Couldn't get impact within 5 shots.

Wind was 15 moa at 1200m today. It did something to the elevation, I had to dial a couple moa more than the previous time at that range, seems like the wind was not just left to right, there was a downdraft going on.

Considering that far more experienced and capable shooters than me met the same fate, it was a good day.

Sounds like a fascinating challenge. So different to the disciplines of shooting I engage in that it may as well almost be something entirely different. Better luck with the weather next time.
