Best sharperner I know

I recently bought a knife sharperner that I think is the bees knees.

I have used quite a few sharpening stones in my life; from a duel stone to a Lansky clone set to diamond plates. The duel stones just worked. The Lansky clone worked OK. The diamond plates worked great if I got the angle right.

I think I have found my dream sharpener. The Worksharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener. Yes, I sound like a TV ad, but it is worth it.

I found this on auction on the Hunt & Gun auction and won the bid at little over half price of a new unit. It has a tri-sharpener.with a 320 diamond surface, a 600 diamond surface and a ceramic honing stone of unknown grit.

What I love about it is that the angle is easy to adjust, no oil required and the diamond plates just work so well. The 320 grit plate is ideal for a slicing blade; i.e. a skinning knife. The rough edge works as a serated edge. The 600 grit plate easily sharpens a blade to shave off arm hair as my forearms can attest. The ceramic honing stone transform the blade to a razor.

A lansky set has up to this point been the benchmark for knife sharpening for plebs like me. In my opinion the Worksharp has taken the crown away.
