Hunting iin the Wilderness on horseback

The way it used to be done in SA

I wonder if anyone is still organising hunts this way ?
Parts of the Karoo big enough and still wild enough fer this
I just wonder how many people ( hunters ) there are still able to ride a horse ?

I have heard about old timers using a trained donkey and a .22. The animals associate the donkey's hoof falls with an animal, which allows the hunter to shoot from up close. Bakkie hunting from way back.
