Two questions:

1. How far does a .410 reach? My kids are shooting doves, pigeons and guinea-fowl with the .22 rifle, out to 25m. I would like something with better killing ability than the .22.

2. Is the .410 adequate to teach them about shotguns?

Yes its just a small shotgun, breakneck miniature shotgun. Its main value to me is that its so old and your kids kids could continue withs hand downs of weapon when they your kids age.

Thanks Ds J, I appreciate that. Please step up as I don't give my 12G guns enough exercise in a wingshooting season as it is.

Another shotty would always be nice cos they just are but I'd prefer a gift like it to go to someone who will use it rather than letting it moulder in a safe as will be the case if I take it.
